Guess what else you can use a carrot peeler for? NOODLES! Yes, you can make fettuccini-like noodles out of harder vegetables such as zucchini, yellow squash, or carrots. After you peel them, just keep using the peeler to make thin strips! Then you can add all kinds of fun toppings such as tomatoes and basil – in fact, you can use my delicious easy recipe for Spaghetti on my website!

Do you like to create your own recipes sometimes? Here are some hints on putting together a great tasting recipe. According to Ayurvedic tradition, a meal, or even a single recipe, is best when it includes all six “tastes.” What are those? Sweet (like honey), Sour (like lemon), Salty (salt), Pungent (like ginger), Bitter (like leafy greens), and Astringent (like lentils).
THIS RECIPE RAWKS!
Oh, this is SOOOOOOO good! What an amazing treat! This could be used as a dip for cut up vegetables, like carrots, celery, peppers or jicama. Serve it at a potluck and nobody would ever know it was all raw, it tastes so good! Or it could even be a sauce over a whole plate of vegetables or over zucchini noodles! I LOVE this recipe! One of my all time Favorites!
RED PEPPER DIP:
1 RED PEPPER
1 ½ CUPS CASHEWS
¼ C SESAME SEEDS
¼ C WATER
2/3 C NUTRITIONAL YEAST
¼ C LEMON JUICE
¼ C OLIVE OIL
1 T BRAGGS
Blend it all in a high speed blender. Use as a dip or sauce.
It is best to purchase red peppers instead of green peppers. Why? Because red peppers are ripe! It’s just like the difference between a green banana (unripe) and a yellow banana (ripe). You want to eat your raw foods when they are ripe.
