Welcome To Making Raw Fun!
Here's your short and easy to read ezine full of raw food fun! Compliments of Raw Food Weight Loss Guide!

What A Great Idea
When life gets busy, it’s important to have your quickie food options available ahead of time so you don’t accidentally consume something you will regret! Always try to have in your fridge some pre-washed fruit or cut up veggies you can just grab and take on the go. Little pre-made containers of almond butter for dipping could go with them. Or pre-made baggies of nuts and seeds and dried fruit are good, too. And I love keeping frozen fruit on hand, such as bananas, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and peaches, ready to make quickie smoothies for a healthy out-the-door in a hurry breakfast or an afternoon snack.

Fun In The Kitchen
Do you miss chips? Well, I’m sure you don’t miss the greasy trans-fats and the extra salt and sugar and MSG. You might just miss the crunch or the chip-like ability to scoop up dips or guacamole. Well, there is of course a raw solution for that! Super easy, too! Just slice up hard veggies like carrots, celery, jicama, squash or zucchini into long ovals and there’s your chip! For oval carrots, instead of cutting straight down to make discs, carefully slice at an angle and they become ovals. Long wide cuts of peppers are nice, too, because they have natural spoons at the ends!

There are so many great foods out there that would be so much healthier for you if you just didn’t cook them, or drown them in sugar or other less-than-healthy substances. Take Apple Sauce, for instance. No need whatsoever to cook the nutrients out of it when it is about the easiest food to make raw! Made this way it would be good for little children, too.

APPLE SAUCE

2 Organic Apples

1 Tablespoon Honey

¼ teaspoon Cinnamon

¼ teaspoon Nutmeg

Squeeze of fresh lemon

Wash and core the apples and cut up roughly to put in a food processor. Process half a minute or so until they become apple sauce. Taste it and see if it is good enough just like it is. Only add honey or sweeteners and spices if you want them. Done! No cooking! All fresh goodness!

Didja Know?
Most raw foodists not only shun all colas and soft drinks, due to their well-known health damaging sugar, chemical and bone-depleting phosphoric acid content, but also tend to shun any kind of carbonated beverages all together, including carbonated water drinks. Why? Well, for one because the bubbles in the carbonated drinks add gas into your digestive tract which can exacerbate digestive problems as well as lead to bloating and, well, Gas! No fun for you, or those around you!
