Welcome To Making Raw Fun!
Here's your short and easy to read ezine full of raw food fun! Compliments of Raw Food Weight Loss Guide!

What A Great Idea
Want to know a great idea for washing your fruits and veggies? If you don’t already have one, go to Goodwill and get a nice big glass punch bowl. They seem to always have a bunch of them. Wash it thoroughly, then keep this on your counter near your sink and fill it every morning about 2 inches below the brim with filtered water, and add a cup of vinegar. Then just dunk your fruits and veggies in the water, swish them around a bit, or let them soak a little while to clean them and kill unwanted organisms. Then pull your produce out and rinse off again before chopping. Also use a salad spinner to dry greens after rinsing.

Fun In The Kitchen
Your kitchen comes equipped with a natural bulletin board – your refrigerator! If it’s not already covered up with pictures and drawings and to do lists and what not, it makes a great place for helping you be a better raw foodist. How? Use it to hold your recipe cards when you are making a recipe. Use it to posts lists of “healthy raw snacks I can grab right now” to keep you on track. Use it to post pictures of delicious looking raw food creations that inspire you to make good food. Or use it to post quotes that inspire you, such as “Love Yourself Enough to Heal Yourself,” a quote I love from Gabriel Cousens.

This Recipe Rawks
I find myself saying this all the time, but THIS time I think I mean it more than I ever, ever have before. Today, I think I have made the most delicious creation I have ever come up with in my life! Funny as this may sound, it is based on a deeply ingrained memory of my very favorite baby food: Blueberry Buckle. I have no idea if they still make this, because I never think to shop in that aisle, but it doesn’t matter now because I have just learned how to make Blueberry Buckle Ice Dream that truly is a dream come true! And super easy, too! If you love blueberries like I do, this will just knock your socks off!

2 cups frozen organic blueberries

½ cup chopped dates

½ cup dried coconut flakes

1 Tablespoon raw honey, more or less, to taste

Soak pitted dates for an hour until softened, rinse and chop. Then put all ingredients in the food processor and process until as smooth as you like. Sometimes it’s fun to keep some blueberry chunkiness to it. Put in freezer safe dish, and stir every once in a while for the first few hours so it doesn’t become a big blue ice block. You may need to thaw it a little when you are ready to eat it. Sprinkle coconut flakes on top to make it look even prettier! Oh Yum!

Didja Know?
The blueberry recipe above is an amazing source for some powerful antioxidants. But didja know there is another food that even beats blueberries? Chia seeds! They actually provide 30 percent more antioxidants than blueberries! On top of that, they also provide 25 percent more fiber than flax seeds! And as if that wasn’t enough, they even give you 70 percent more protein than soybeans! Impressed? But wait, there’s more! Calcium? Get this, 600 percent more than cow’s milk. And, they provide the highest heart healthy Omega content of any vegetarian source. Chia. It’s what should be for dinner! So get some, and mix them into everything!
