Discover the art of buying food in bulk! Now this doesn’t mean you have to buy 25 pounds of almonds. But if you go to stores that put those 25 pounds of almonds in bulk bins for you to choose from, you get to benefit from their bulk purchase cost savings! Here are some of the foods we purchase from the bulk bins frequently: almonds, walnuts, cashews, pecans, macadamia nuts, sunflower seeds, flax seeds, buckwheat groats, steel cut oats, dried coconut flakes, raisins, dates, dehydrated pineapple, dehydrated apple rings, and dehydrated banana chips. Sometimes you can even get nutritional yeast, goji berries, cacao nibs and hemp seeds in bulk quantities, too.

Are you familiar with
the water experiments done by Masaru Emoto? In one experiment, he analyzed frozen water crystals that had been exposed to different kinds of words. Those exposed to negative words were terribly misshaped and unattractive. Those exposed to positive words formed beautiful symmetrical crystals like fancy snowflakes. His experiments showed how the energy of words, and even thoughts and intentions, can affect physical matter. How can you benefit from this information? Take advantage of the power of positive energy by placing positive words and beautiful images in your environment, especially in your kitchen! If you want to go one step further, take a Sharpie marker and write a positive word, like Love, on your favorite water glass! Then those beautiful water molecules will become a part of you!

Let’s say you’ve been invited to a Christmas party and you know there will be tempting food everywhere. How can you partake and still stay
raw and healthy? Well, just bring your own goodies and snack on those! Here’s a crowd pleaser that everyone will love! It’s sugar free, gluten free, dairy free, vegan, raw, absolutely delicious and festively beautiful, too!
CHRISTMAS CRANBERRY COOKIES
1 ½ cups raw cashews
1 cup pitted dates
¼ cup unsweetened shredded coconut
¼ cup water
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp cinnamon
Dash of sea salt
Extra unsweetened shredded coconut for coating the cookies
½ cup dried cranberries for the top of the cookies
Mix all ingredients except for the extra coconut and cranberries in a food processor. Roll the dough by hand into little golf ball sized balls. Roll in extra coconut to coat the balls. Then push your thumb into the top of the balls and press the cranberries into the indents. Chill in refrigerator before serving.
