WELCOME TO MAKING RAW FUN!
Here's your fun-filled, short and easy to read ezine full of raw food fun! Compliments of Raw Food Weight Loss Guide!

WHAT A GREAT IDEA!
Feeling blue? Need to perk up? Researchers have shown that the essential oils in the rinds of oranges can bring your mood back up, making you feel cheery and your home smell clean! When you are peeling oranges, pinch or fold the peeled rinds to release the spray of delicate oils and bask in the delightful scent! Or get a bottle of Orange Essential Oil and enjoy the scent whenever you want! (http://oils.younglivingconnect.com/essential-oils/singles/orange-essential-oil-15ml/)

FUN IN THE KITCHEN!
Here’s a great way to enjoy freshly squeezed orange juice all year long! After you have extracted the fresh juice, put it in ice cube trays and freeze. Then later you can add the cubes to your water to make it taste good, or to your smoothies to add a slushy sweetness, or even thaw the juice to use in other recipes. Try this with lemons and limes, too.

THIS RECIPE RAWKS!
We created a super yummy orange smoothie one day and thought we would share it with you! This one is sweet and tangy and even a little spicy and full of powerful nutrition! Enjoy it!

ORANGE-CARROT-GINGER SMOOTHIE

3 oranges, peeled, deseeded
1 large carrot, peeled, cut in chunks
Half of a small or medium pineapple, peeled, cut in chunks
1 inch of peeled fresh ginger
1 Tablespoon of coconut oil (optional)

Put all the ingredients in the blender and blend on high until nice and smooth and drink up! When pomegranates are in season, we add fresh pomegranate fruit to this, too. You can experiment with adding other fruits that would go well with this. Here in Florida, we might toss in a Starfruit. Sweet and yummy!

DIDJA KNOW?
The white part of the orange, as well as lemons, limes, and grapefruits, is called the Pith. Although most people peel this away, you would be wise not to! The pith is so full of phytonutrients and antioxidants that it actually contains more nutrition than the fruit itself, which is mostly sweet water. So peel the colored part of your citrus fruit carefully with a knife, aiming to leave on as much of the pith as you can. Your body will delight in the extra nutrition!
