RAW FOOD SUPERFOODS

We highly recommend adding as many raw food superfoods as you can into your diet. These truly are the foods that give you the most bang for the buck, so to speak, because they are higher in nutrition or health benefits than other foods.

The more nutrition you can get into your system, the more raw materials your body has to work with for healing on every level. And the healthier you get, the more successful your weight loss will be, especially when it comes to healing important organs like the liver, which is your main fat-burning furnace, or glands like the thyroid, which regulates metabolism.

Many of these superfoods can be eaten like any other food, such as goji berries or cacao nibs or hemp seeds. Eat them just as they are, or toss a handful or so into a smoothie or add them into a recipe.

But others are used in smaller amounts, like some of the greens powders or the maca or perhaps the nutritional yeast. I especially love sprinkling nutritional yeast over zucchini pasta like I used to use parmesan cheese.

Other superfoods can almost be considered supplements, like bee pollen or MSM powder or Camu Camu Vitamin C Powder. Those can be added in to drinks or smoothies, for example, to boost up their nutritional profile.

The list below may look a bit long, but actually, once you are a raw foodist for awhile, you will find that you will have a majority of these superfood products in your raw food kitchen at all times. Move over flour, sugar, eggs and butter - these are your new staples!

By the way, if you are new to superfoods, I highly recommend learning about them from this book by one of my favorite raw food authors, David Wolfe: Superfoods: The Food and Medicine of the Future

The longer you are a raw foodist, however, the more likely you will begin to learn about all these different powerful nutritional giants!
